Lexington’s Bluegrass Region wants you to eat, drink, and be merry! The Bourbon Trail also starts here as the Region is home to numerous distilleries, including Woodford Reserve, Buffalo Trace and Town Branch. Make sure you attend one of the many festivals or events during your time in the Bluegrass; we have everything from Ballet Under the Stars to Farmers' Markets!

 

Opportunities to play are found around every corner in Lexington’s Bluegrass Region! Visit the Kentucky Artisan Center in Berea for a hands-on artistic experience. Get your heart racing with excitement cheering for one of our many sports teams from the Lexington Legends minor league baseball to nationally recognized collegiate athletics.  The region is also the perfect backdrop for outdoor adventure- offering geocache tours, hiking, cycling, horseback riding, kayaking and more!

 

Gallop around in Lexington’s Bluegrass Region! You are sure to leave our Region knowing a little something extra about horses after visiting any of our numerous equine attractions. Visit the Kentucky Horse Park for the International Museum of the Horse or their Parade of Breeds. To get up close with, and even pet, the horse racing stars of yesterday visit Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement Farm. If you’re feeling lucky head on out to Keeneland Race Course, place a bet and cheer your pick to a first place finish! There are many opportunities in the Region to try horseback riding or tour the horse farms that raise our champions.

 

History comes to life in Lexington’s Bluegrass Region!  Walk in the footsteps of historical legends such as John Hunt Morgan and Mary Todd Lincoln as you tour their historic homes or visit Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill to witness the largest restored Shaker community. Listen for the roar of a cannon- Civil War battlefields with reenactments are found throughout the Region.  End your adventure filled days with a stroll through one of our many picturesque downtowns.
