Established in 1775 by Richard Henderson and Daniel Boone of the Transylvania Company. The park features a reconstructed fort on the banks of the Kentucky River.

Daniel Boone’s Grave Site – Frankfort
The site of Daniel and Rebecca Boone’s resting place is in Frankfort Cemetery, on a beautiful hillside overlooking the city, the Capitol Building, and the Kentucky River.

The state’s premier history venue features many displays showcasing the importance of Daniel Boone in the state’s exploration, formation, and development.

Old Fort Harrod State Park – Harrodsburg

The oldest permanent settlement in Kentucky, and another location closely associated with Daniel Boone, features a full-scale replica of the 1775 fort. Costumed interpreters demonstrate pioneer skills. Museum, cemetery, gift shop.
