This family-friendly event also featured music, art vendors, a farmers’ market, and food trucks.

Come “Home for the Holidays,” on December 2nd when Georgetown/Scott County Tourism Commission presents its annual Christmas tree lighting and parade, activities and open houses. Picturesque with its Victorian streetscape and buildings – 200 are listed on the National Registry of Historic Places – downtown Georgetown will be decorated for the holidays and ready to welcome Santa during the parade at 6pm.

Kick off Georgetown's most event-packed weekend on September 5th with the 22nd annual Fireman's Chili Cook-Off! Competitors come to put their chili to the test on the historic streets of Downtown Georgetown, and you get to be one of the judges! $6 admission for chili tasting

The Fireworks show is scheduled at TBD presented by Kiwanis Club of Scott County. Tune into 87.9FM to hear to the firework music. Fireworks will begin at dusk.

Horsey Hundred is a leading central Kentucky cycling event sponsored by the Bluegrass Cycle Club. This event takes place on Memorial Day Weekend and features 30, 50, 66 & 100 mile rides in areas surrounding Georgetown, Kentucky. The Horsey 100 welcomes cyclists from all over the country and internationally for road cycling and southern hospitality. Riders travel through quaint historic towns and along backroads bordering some of the world’s most famous horse farms.

Main Street Clean Sweep is our annual community-led litter cleanup in participating cities and towns throughout central Kentucky. Volunteers gather to pick up and dispose of litter in their communities to help create a sustainable Bluegrass.|
